We Believe in a Different Path Forward

We were all glued to the news over the past couple weeks in disgust, and in amazement.
Disgust that another human being could be so cavalier about someone's life.
Disgust for everyone that stood by and did nothing.
And then in amazement as I saw people I love speak out against it.

I am in awe of the photos of other countries standing up for it as well. 
If you haven't seen the photos of Amsterdam and France protesting, I highly suggest you do so. 
I had so many emotions this week, it was hard to place them all. 

One of our company's (and my main personal) core beliefs is Integrity. 
We all have a responsibility to speak truth and act with integrity. 

We stand together to support the Black community against racism, social injustice and violence.

We don't always know what to say, or what to do.
But we are learning...and we will continue to learn more.
We are anti-racist and we believe in a different path forward.

My friend Melanie said it well:
"If you’re tired of hearing about racism, imagine how tired some people are of experiencing it.

Raising the status of others doesn’t decrease yours.

Educate yourself. It’s going to be uncomfortable, but so is this (gestures broadly)."

I'm ending this conversation with one thought.
Don't just talk about it. Do something about it.
